Safely detect moving objects
Proxitron light grids detect small objects within a monitored area.
In contrast to conventional light barriers, light grids have ten light barrier sections running parallel to each other, covering a larger area for object detection. The interruption of one light barrier section of the light grid is sufficient to detect an object in this area. In this way, even small objects with strong position fluctuations can be reliably detected.
This method is especially suitable for applications with material that shows strong deformations or moves strongly in relation to the object size. Light grids also offer the optimal solution for detecting different pipe diameters on V-roller conveyors.
The robust aluminium housing is especially designed to meet the demanding requirements of the co-processing industry. The high range of up to 10 m enables the coverage of different roller table widths and also allows the detection of hot objects by remote positioning of the light grid. The operating reserve of the light grids allows operation even in environments with increased soiling, steam or smoke formation.
