High-quality wooden constructions are the trend – in particular in the building industry. The advantages are obvious: high fire safety, best appearance and excellent ecological balance. In the construction of larger buildings, glued laminated timber is used for the most part. The laminated timber has a high load capacity in comparison to its low weight, is easy to process, shows high form stability, and so on. All these properties require an ideal manufacturing process: single thin layers of wood are prepared, coated with glue and afterwards they are pressed and/or shaped at the same time. The following step is drying, with the aid of heat, ideally at a defined temperature. Proxitron pyrometers provide the non-contact temperature measurement, fast and reliably. For optimal alignment we recommend the use of our laser pilot light unit.
