Surface sensors have been designed to monitore moving objects for example pipes, profiles or stripes on (roller) conveyors. A surface sensor replaces a row of single sensors. Besides the high sensing distances the length and widths of the sensor depending on the application are crucial factors of the selection of a suitable surface sensor.
